This program is an engaging introduction to ballet. To help children to gain flexibility, dance technique, coordination and confidence in a fun environment.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Tight fitted clothing such as leggings, shorts, leotards. Tutus and dress ups are absolutely allowed, as long as children can move freely in their outfit comfortably. Footwear recommended jazz shoes, ballet shoes, sneakers, or runners. You can purchase jazz and dance shoes if desired, they will need these shoes moving up into Sub-Junior classes.

.This class involves learning skills like tumbling, balancing, flexibility and strength. And yes of course this includes learning bridges. This class is great for children to work together and learn tricks as a group. This helps build confidence, strength and skills. It also helps children learn safely how to perform their skills.

No shoes or socks required for this class as it is performed barefoot. 

Ballet is an important class to participate in to lay down foundation skills. Ballet is a technique class that includes barre work, floor work, stretching and technique. It’s an important class to gain flexibility, technique, posture, strength and foundations of dance skill.

 Ballet shoes must be worn for this class.  

Jazz classes are great classes for learning fundamental techniques of dance. This class is great for children who love to dance, kick, jump and turn around the room. This class includes stretching to work on flexibility, learning fundamental jazz skills and learning routines to perform.

Tight fitted clothing such as leggings, shorts, leotards.  Foot wear for this dance class must be Jazz shoes in tan color.  These shoes will be required for performances.  

Hip hop is a fun engaging class to modern music that allows children to explore movement. This is a fun upbeat class for students to participate in. Students in this class will learn how to isolate their movements and create their own unique way of movement. Hip Hop classes will  consist of stretches, isolation skills and learning routines.

 This class is a slower style of dance that works  on technique and flexibility. This style is about connection to the music and also exploring different emotions and feelings. These classes allow students to express using their bodies, work on their flexibility and technique.

Foot wear for this dance class must be foot thongs so students have enough grip but can also work and perform their turns. 

 Our adult dance classes include all different styles of dance throughout the term. This is great for adults who love to dance even if they are beginners. In this class adults will learn routines from different styles including jazz, hip hop/commercial, lyrical/contemporary. This class can vary depending on student requests. We are flexible to modify depending on what the majority of the class would like to learn more of.

Adults can wear anything comfortable for movement. Speak to your dance teacher to see what style your doing the following week to dress appropriately to the style.
